Scott R3 vs Conalgo CLX 2.0
Discussion
After my big "off" a month ago at goodwood, I now need a new bike.
Actually - FWIW - was anyone at the cycle race at goodwood on Sunday 30th May?
Currently favour either a Scott R3, or Conalgo CLX.
The Scott is winning at the moment, but still quite torn - they both appear to be good frames.
Does anyone on here have experience or comments on either?
Thanks
Matt

Have just read that Windwave will be at Bike Radar Live at Brands Hatch so you can go and ride the Colnago bikes round the circuit plus Scott will be there too demoing bikes. Back to back test ride would give you a fair idea what they're like

I can't say much too much on the relative merits of the two you are considering but I have a Scott R2 and its an incredible bit of kit.
I bought it from http://www.slanecycles.com/ who incidentally also do the full Scott and Colnago ranges. Their prices are very hard to beat, might be worth checking them out.

Thanks for that chaps! Bike radar sounds like a great place to try a bike - unfortunately the goodwood incident (amongst other injuries) shattered my collarbone. Now got a titanium plate holding it together and can't ride for another few weeks.
I have found an 2010 R2 for sale and they've said they're prepared to do a deal. It's a shame I love the R3 graphics more, but will see what they offer. Am I right the R2 and R3 are the same frame - the only differenc being ultegra vs 105?
With the Scott, with not many available this time of year, am struggling to find bikes to try for size. I'm 5'10" (and a half! lol) with 87cm inside leg measured tight up.
Seems to be a toss up between the 54cm and 56cm frame - does that seem about right? Can't find any 56cm frames to try unfortunately, so I guess I'll have to go 54.
