Just about to buy one off Halfords on our C2W scheme, and they've increased the price overnight from £999 to £1199!!!

Halfords usually let you add to the voucher but £199 is a big jump.

They might still sell it to you for the old price especially as you ordered the voucher based on the sub £1000 price.

When I ordered my Pro C the Team had increased, but I was told it was only an in-store price and the online price was still £999, if that helps?

Yes. If I click on my search of yesterday which still shows £999, it opens a new window at £1199.

The rest of the range has stayed the same.

I was about to have a go but you know what, maybe you are right. The profit margins on these must be huge. The most I have spent is £3000 and that was with £2000 off. I'm sure the profit was still handsome. Bikes don't seem to get cheaper over time - there is always something more expensive to fill the vacuum. But as long as a pint of beer is £3.50 and a gallon of petrol £5, then bikes make decent value IMHO.

Oddly, as that was a carbon road bike for £1000, many posters will think it's too cheap and must be inferior to their well over £1500 carbon bikes.

Not as much of a profit as you'd think, trade price shimano isn't that different to what Merlin etc charge for it.
It's a lot of bike for £1200 :-)

I never understand why people think bikes should all be about £50, if you're gonna ride it all the time then at least get a decent one

How much do you want to spend? My charge spoon is pretty good to be fair but you really need to try one, everyone's a$$ is different :-)
