The parents need to get him a bike with pedals so he doesn't have to land on his ass every time.

it's a 'balance bike' they're meant for todlers to learn to well, balance at 2mph as they scoot around the kitchen floor / garden.

I think it's safe to say he's outgrown his ha ha.

What a Star!!! Wonder if I can hire him to teach my 4-year-old to ride without stablisors.

Someone should tell him that he shouldn't drink stagnant water.

Awesome! I've obviously got a thing or two to teach my little lad when he gets his first balance bike this xmas!

I always wondered if balance bikes actually worked or if they were some con by big bike manufacturers, I'm now sold.
Top work!

Brilliant video. That lad has real skill and adventure there. My kids are still feeling their way around bikes.

Yeah, they're great. My boy had one when he was 3yo and learned to lift his feet downhill very quickly. They teach a more natural balance than stabilisers. I'm now a total convert and think stabilisers are a retrograde step for children.

I never used stabilisers or dedicated balance bikes. I just got the right size bike and take off the pedals, then when they get good enough at balancing just put the pedals back on. It helps if you have a bit of a slope around to free wheel down.
