Smart phone GPS & Heart Rate tracking

Have seen a few of you put your rides on-line with lots of associated data including Heart Rate which I assume is done via a bluetooth monitor and GPS tracking.
Not one for having the latest mobile, my current contract was up at least 2 years ago, the battery on my current one is dying so logged on to VF yesterday to see what I could get on my current plan. Have gone for a Nokia X6 16gb which was free, so this will be my first real smart phone.
It has free sat nav (result!)
Does anyone have a suggestion on an app for tracking a mixture of on & off road and what suitable HRM to connect to it.

I use www.sports-tracker.com on my Nokia 5800, I don't have a HRM but I think you can attach one
