I'm doing the 175km route with my club, Yogi. Looking forward to it but know I'm going to have a very, very hard time on the hills.

Yep, I'll be doing the 175km route.

Did Peak Hill out of Sidmouth yesterday in a 39x27, wouldn't want many more gear inches than that as my bottom gear - it's going to be painful after 80 miles.

I've taken the wheels from my 'good' bike which has a double and put them on the bike I'm using which has a compact. Every little bit helps.

I'm not doing that myself, but I would maybe do it with some mates another weekend. Looks like a good route.

I know the route from Exeter onwards. (The closing bit.) The final drop down into Teignmouth could be quite quick...
