So, remember me asking about Orbea bikes recently? Well I popped into the shop today to have a closer look....
....and came home with this
Orbea Onix, carbon frame and fork (alu drops), R500 wheels, carbon post etc, etc. I remember spending less on cars. Anyway, the frame is a work of art and I'm off for a ride now.

It is Tiagra....that means new additions are possible. At least I've lost my granny ring though 
Ride cut short as seat position completely wrong. Now adding lights and whatnot ready for another go.....
Oh, and my old blue bottle holders look crap (unsurprisingly). Something else to buy then.

The road nazi in me wants to have a moan at the chain in the small ring and the flipped up stem.
But the fact that you have taken the risk of getting caught by the missus taking a bike photo on a white carpet and that the bike has more than the required number of impractical white bits redeems it.
Very nice looking bike - can't say I know a lot about Orbea, always thought their frames looked the part though - how does it ride?

Excuses? Erm....I flipped the stem in the shop to try it, and I quite liked it. Let's see how it goes.
Barely ridden it yet. Test ride and short burst at home. Just back for re-tweaks to seating position, adding my lights, bottles and saddle bag and I'll be off again.
Not hard. You need a lockring tool, a chain whip and a spanner.

Last time I went into one, it was suggested a Fuji 3 would be an ideal starter. Went back to work and 20 mins later had one sent out, price matched from Evans....
Dont tell the missus but for the winter I fancy a new Kona Tanuki....
Can a bicycle be grounds for divorce?? (worth asking seeing the colour of your carpet!)

Not really mate, most is better (even the groupset, bars and brakes) and I'll get the RS20 wheels swapped over soon too. Not a giant (geddit) leap, but enough. The increase in overall quality is noticeable, and the ride is far, far nicer.Its basically a carbon version of what you've already got?
