Verbal abuse at lights from cyclist!
Discussion
So I'm cycling through Oxford yesterday, lots of students as usual crossing the roads totally oblivious of cars let alone cyclists. Came to a pedestrain crossing that was on red so stopped (thought thats what a red light meant!). Middle aged guy on bike behind me starts giving me verbals because I had stopped and not cycled straight through the red light.
Being relatively new back on a bike have I missed something about traffic regs that makes cyclists exempt?

Word of warning; if you're on the road follow the high-way code!Being relatively new back on a bike have I missed something about traffic regs that makes cyclists exempt?
Can't help but wonder if he had been so gobby if I had been in uniform on the way to work. I was shocked, I regularly have to negotiate cyclists who have gone through red lights when I'm driving through a green. Just didn't expect someone to give another cyclist verbals for following the highway code

Also in Oxford... I was stopped at a red light on my bike alongside a van a while ago when the middle aged cyclist behind me decided he was bored with waiting and decided to walk with his bike between his legs through the non-existant gap between myself and the van, barging me out of the way as he went. He failed to see why I was annoyed by this and suggested that in future I should have continued because 'bikes don't count'.
