I am looking to spend for around 250 - 300. any suggestions..?

to replace crappy surtours..

Merlin have a few different versions of the Reba, some of which are adjustable from 100mm to 120mm travel by the removal of an internal spacer. All these forks cost between, £250 and £320, so give them a ring and ask whit the cheapest set that have this adjust-ability are.

Mate of mine has Rebas on his Cube with remote lock out, first time he came off the lever snapped off! Can't remember how much to fix it but he didn't bother, seemed quite expensive! He's also had them raised from 100 -120 MM and is loving them.

This should do the trick. No remote although you could buy a remote and probably still be within budget.

The Poploc is about £50 for Rebas but I wouldn't bother.

Rebas are stunning shocks though. Unfeasably light, plush and robust.

Unfortunately they are no longer sub-£300 though. Good forks a silly prices now. My Revelations cost over £500 I think.

You could look at the Sektor U-Turns but they are heavy. Recon or Reba is the best bet.

RS recon 335 120mm solo air have really good lock out, with a fairly high blow off pressure. cheap as chips on CRC too
