Thule 757/757 Roof Bars Query

Hi,

I hope it's ok to ask this here (it is bike related!). I guess some people here may have Thule bars so can help.

I have just purchased a set of used Thule roof bars with 755 feet but with no instructions...

I want to physically remove the feet from the square bars to install separately bought aero bars but can not seem to get them to move at all!

I have keys etc - the locks are removed and the feet adjust ok with the rotating end cap. But how do I physically detach the feet from the bars - they appear to be fixed? I can't even figure how to slide the feet in the bar runners to change the width.
