I know literally next to nothing about bikes these days. I need a bike to cycle to 2.5 miles to the station and came across this this morning.

Web throws up next to nothing about this particular model so wondered if anyone knew anything about them. Cheers.

It's a £220 brand new Bike from halfords, if that doesn't give you enough info, then I'm sure it'll be fine for your needs.

Basically it is cheap & heavy and will not be great to ride, cheap parts will break easily, however on a 2.5 mile ride to the station you will not notice this, if you ever decide to go for a bit of an adventure at the weekend you will.

Thanks Peter. Saw the one on Halfords and it seems totally different to be honest. Think this must be an older model.

That's a catalog picture? Why?

If you want a bike for a 2.5 mile commute on the road you won't need suspension which will add weight and complexity. The trek 7000 would be a better bike than the diamond back but your taking a leap of faith on that one.

Decathlon would do a cheap sports hybrid for a good price that would probably be as good or better for what you want than the trek 7000, with not knowing where your bike is coming from or what it's true condition is.

here look at this.
