Depends how tall she is - if it doesn't fit then it's worth nothing!

Hmmm, even at 5'3" the XS might be a bit cramped. It has a 540mm effective top tube length, so if you can find a local Halfords that has the MTB Comp fi (womens) in a Small then that has the same ETT and could try it for size.

I think thats a great bike for the money, plus great colour!
I was checking the shops out last week for a similar deal for my best mates girlfriend and came across that!
The only other bike that I found similar was: this cannondale

Slightly more expensive but not a bad bargain.

My sons have just been given XS Giant MTBs, Revel 3 in their case, for their 9th birthdays: they're 4'6".

Edited because they're shorter than I thought.

bought... good find!

missus is 5'2" with short legs and the xs gives her about 2" of clearance over the stand-over height... if she wants a bit more reach, we will just swap the stems over.

great bargain!

ordered yesterday morning, arrived this morning (paid £5 for priority delivery).

all i can say is that it looks awesome... i've been buying high-end bikes for 20yrs now and for little over £250 this is the best i have ever seen!

if it fits, get one asap before they sell out!

Let us know what the size is like. My gf is also 5 foot 3 so that would be good for her too.

the bike is very small indeed... my gf is 5'2" but has short legs so in terms of standover, the xs size works well. we have hiked the saddle up to give her a good riding position, shifted the saddle back slightly and i have just bought a longer stem so she can stretch out more (the original one is very short indeed).

the thing does weigh a bloody ton though - 31.8lbs... but there is plenty of scope to bring this weight down in time... i reckon for about £250 and some hunting around the classifieds in singletrack world should save approx 5.5lbs and bring the weight down to just over 26lbs which would make a massive difference.

£70 - lighter wheels - approx 800g minimum saving
£50 - old pair of MX Comp forks (quite light and very plus) - approx 800g minimum saving
£40 - pair of rocket rons from singletrack world - approx 400g minimum saving
£25 - carbon bars - approx 100g saving
£35 - carbon seat post - approx 100g saving
£free - fitment of lighter cranks i have knocking around - approx 200g saving
£free - fitment of deore lx dual control lever and hydraulic discs i have - no real saving, but better braking
£25 - lighter saddle - approx 100g saving

She actually ended up with a size small rather than the extra small as it goes which is fine for her...shes not going in for any competitions so the weights not an issue really to be honest...its considerably lighter than her previous bike thats for sure. The bike certainly looks the part and shes very happy with it which is the main thing.
