nice thumbup on a side note, I see a business idea: hire this out for an hour, then get a coach to go over the data with you. The potential benefits would be huge.

Seen the racing bike a few times before, curious to know what it offers over something like an SRM / Quarq which is a tenth of the price

Not sure I want the data enough to "pass" a sensor/ transponder/ power source! It already takes an age to get through airport security, imagine with that in yer bum! oh god, they might find someone with gloves on to retrieve it....

I don't have one, but I understand the SRM (for example) samples data via strain gauges in the cranks 200 times a second. So it allows you to see any imperfections in technique like the one in the gadget show last night, but without the fancy pie chart.

That 20K bike is stupid. Cycling is a clique thing at the best of times. I suspect that proper cyclists would rather buy the same Spec Shiv as Cancelara or the Dogma of Wiggins (or even the Trek of that blood doping Texan and Specialized of the meat eating Bertie) than something with no heritage, dubious technology decisions and a poncy price tag.

I'm sure many have seen the £8K Mountain Bikes offered by BMW or Porsche in their "Accesories" catalogues. Bought exclusively by posers with no clue. I buy cars from car manufacturers and bikes from bike companies. Oh and Kettles from Russel Hobbs biggrin
