Trek Madone 5.2 or Cannondale Super Six Ultegra??
Discussion
The SuperSix was shortlisted for BOTY 2011

Try them both, the geometry isn't as sloping on the Cannondale and you may not like it. The Trek will be very similar to what you have now with sloping geometry and long head tube.

k me they are pricey for the spec. i know cannodale have one of the best reputations for frames but they had better be bloody good to spec aksiums on a £2500 bike?!?!? i know i bleat on about crap OEM wheels on bikes but aksiums retail for less than £100. thats a joke.
i havent ridden either bike listed but i have ridden models in the same range (which I am led to believe should feature the same frames) the madone felt really fast and lively, i am assuming that trek use a different weave of carbon fibre to others to get this response. i liked the cannondale but i am quite a heavy rider (82kgs) so probably couldnt get the benefit of the madone's
I would widen your serach a lot first. you can get a lot more bike than that for your money.

The SuperSix is supplied Kysrium Equipe which are £250 per pair from Planet X or 10% of the bike value. THey retail for £330 everywhere else.
I suspect you are using Evans Cycles for you spec sheet and it's wrong, even the Evans pic shows Ksyrium if you zoom in

I'm upgrading my Trek 2.1 to one of the above.
What's the general concensus on these two. Not seen any 5.2 reviews, but I am used to the geometry with my existing bike.
Help.

Admittedly I was looking for a cheaper spec, in the most maahoosive sizes imaginable, but I didn't want to wait until June for the Cannondale...

I've got a local stockist who has both in 54cm, the 'dale is still boxed.Admittedly I was looking for a cheaper spec, in the most maahoosive sizes imaginable, but I didn't want to wait until June for the Cannondale...
Also, minimum of 10% reduction. The Trek comes with £280 worth of Bontrager bits of your choice too.
If you went for the Supersix you would get BB30 bottom bracket which means you could upgrade to the awesome Hollowgram SISL cranks at a later date
