Around 3.30pm this afternnon a 20 year old girl was hit by a lorry and killed on Camden road in London, I came through there only about half an hour earlier. The lorry driver has been arrested. Just very sad. Take care out there.
On my ride in this morning I noticed most female cyclists seem to be most oblivious to large vehicles around them and worst of all seem to prefer to cycle with ipods on too.
I like to stay off the roads and retreat to the hills; as a driver, I've seen to many lapses of concentration where 'if' a cyclist was present; would be no more.
