For me I got more enjoyment in browsing the great array of photos and reading some of the more light articles. However for me it’s a bit like Pro Cycle mag, unless you’re really into your racing and enjoy reading historic races it maybe a bit lost on you and not worth the money.
However it really feels like a great quality book and is the sort of thing I’d buy to generally browse at my leisure. Cause there are only so many reviews of shoes, wheels, brakes etc you can read so it’s a nice break from the usual suspect mags.
It's 'Rouleur' 
Between the two of us my brother and me have bought maybe 6 issues as presents for each other and I've really enjoyed all of them, particularly the photography and the rider profiles. The articles tend to be the sort of thing you don't get elsewhere, so as mentioned it stands alone from the other mags and is more like a book.
They're a lot of money for the number of pages you get but they're great for just flicking through from time to time as well as reading properly, so I thing it's just about worth it as a treat.

Ah right, sorry. Car is (or was, a few years ago when I stopped buying it) a car-porn magazine written by and for people who like fapping over automotive design. Like Playboy, they need a bit of text to help things along.I can't really express with any eloquence why I found the copy of Rouleur I bought so embarrasing. It just seemed to take itself massively seriously. To me, professional cycling is a simple hard sport for hard men. I just feel a bit uncomfortable when it gets reshaped into a sort of epic photography exercise blended in with the selling of £400 tweed cycling jerseys.
IMO, obviously. Each to their own.

I see what you mean... but epic cycle photography like you get in Rouleur is the kind of stuff that makes me want to go out for half a days ride, in the same way some automotive photography wants me to go out for a drive I can't really express with any eloquence why I found the copy of Rouleur I bought so embarrasing. Having said that, it still is very expensive for what it is.
