Spotted a PH jersey going through Castleton (where all the gravel was from the surface dressing) as part of the C2C in a day sportive.
Good work that man, it's bloody hilly round there and as I was there supporting a friend of mine, I know how much you'd suffered already!
Cheers,
Tom
That bit was pretty sketchy, would have been either me or TSCFree, he would have been going a bit quicker than me. Great fun but v tiringGood work that man, it's bloody hilly round there and as I was there supporting a friend of mine, I know how much you'd suffered already!

Nice to speak to you all, was a fantastic day. Castleton was was pretty dodgy with the loose chippings. I'm sure it was a downhill section around there a bloke following me hadn't seen a gravelly corner, luckily I had only just spotted it and grabbed a handful and made it round. He bailed and went straight on! Fortunately the grass bank made for safe stop.
Yes, I'm guessing those chippings only went down the previous afternoon and they could only avoid that short section at the end by the cheeky uphill diversion.Gargamel said:
Right ho then, who was that, corner past Wanborough station. I should have yelled some witticism but could only manage an Oi Oi.
Great evening for a ride. Nice to see another shirt....
Is this the first confirmed occasion of two ph shirts meeting... ?
It was me, just getting back home from a quick circuit through Well and Tilford. Great to see another shirt out there, almost didn't believe it until we had passed!Great evening for a ride. Nice to see another shirt....

Well nice to meet you, I was on my commute back from Woking over to Churt. I am always mentally bracing for the climb up and over the hogs back on that stretch I saw you on.....

Err, no - see the posts immediately above. Three of us met on the C2C-In-A-Day a couple of weeks ago.OK, I wasn't actually wearing my jersey but I did spot the other two

This evening, around 8ish between Wargrave and the Piggott school. You were in a white PH top, I was the large chap on the hard tail with monster truck tyres. You nailed it past me!! Thankfully I regained my mojo passing an old chap on his way to the chippy.
For added PH points we were both passed by a red NSX heading towards Henley.

'twas me - NSX was nice eh!
I did say evening, honest! I always give a nod to everyone on a bike, regardless of type, speed etc!
Also bumped into PolarBen on the way from Hambledon to Henley!
