a shame they lost half a days racing in Finland Today.. the forecast for the rest of the weekend is not much better but lets see what happens.

the one thing i find odd is that only 3 Top Methanol Dragsters ran in Q1( or put times on the board at least)
anyone know why this is?( a sarcastic response like " because the other 5 did not run" is not necessary )

if Tomorrow was also rained out then a 3 car field with 8 Entries would be a Big Shame.

TMD was at the end of the session, so did the rain stop play after the Habermann's and Fred ran?

another day cut in half due to the rain congrats to Antti Horto for the number 1 in only his 2nd ever race !! Dave Wilson Looking Strong to.

Shame for Risto not to make the field .. could put an end to his chances this year....

the lack of runs is going to make all the classes very Unpredictable Tomorrow.

1 question how do they run a 6 Car Field in TMD ? 3 Pairs with a bye into the final or 2 Byes in round 1 ?

3 races in round one , one race and a bye in the semis , personally i would rather see 2 byes in RD1 and both semis being races.

Lets hope they can get it fixed. For FHRA especially.

It seems Risto can pray just as effectively as Andy Carter...

Notice poor old Conrad Stanley has failed to qualify in Pro Stock again, 3 FIA events and 3 non qualifies must be very discouraging after all that travelling. They seem to be having a lot of problems out there, if they do get going lets hope Andy Carter does his really first competitive run in the new car.

If Tommy J wins the event today (If being the big word) then qualifies at Hockenheim would that make him champion does anybody know?

Two consecutive first round red lights from Andy Robinson. That's got to hurt...

You have to lean on the tree when you are struggling for performance.

THE run of Alastaro was done by Jaska Salakari, his 6,39 is absolutely amazing,
I hope that he finally gets a handle on the tune-up and consistency of his unique machine.
I mean, you can´t get more left field than milling a
"4valve-OHC-blown-clutch only-sequentially injected Nitro V2" from chunks of forged aluminium (and some ICs).
Projects like these are fascinating to me because it´s the essence of european (bike) Drag Racing,
having a concept in your mind, building it, and riding it.

I love the engineering and innovation on display in the bike pits, I hope the development and ideas continue to flourish and don't get legislated out of the sport like they have on the car side.

if Urs or Risto collected the max points available from the last 2 races they would end up on 332 .. if Tommy qualified 8th at both races and went out round 1 he would have 313.

Qualifying and 1 round at Hockenheim would be enough.

on a different note that 6.39 From jaska Salakari took me by surprise when reading that .. i can't wait to see that run!

I noticed that to. Incredible. I personally think that was one of the best runs there. Ive always loved this class because of there innovation. I gather Charley Karlings is the only one that has run quicker? What happened to Anders Karling he had a new bike which was immense.

Anders "Charley" Karling holds the UEM Super Twin ET record with a 6.458 achieved at Hockenheim in August 2004. I believe he did run quicker than this at one event but did not back it up... It may be documented here http://www.karlingracing.com/
