Not sure if this is the right forum.....but what advice do people have for getting the best 1/4 mile time!!...car is a modified Porsche 996 TT (AWD)......main questions?

1. Start revs?
2. When to change up (max revs or max torque)
3. what pre prep (fuel / cool time / tyres etc etc)

all advice much appreciated.

I've moved this to the drag racing forum for you.

A couple of questions,

is the car manual or tiptronic?
Are you running on an established strip or a 'normal' bit of track/runway?
Is the car standard?

How much mechanical sympathy do you have?

The car is a DMS remapped 996 Turbo with good but very much road tyres.

The 1/4 mile track is Crail....so custom track but not the greatest!!!

Tyres will make the most difference IMO. Whats the surface like?
