Though I love the Swedes and their superb performance in Pro Mod I'm fed up with them coming to our back yard and kicking butt all the time. Do we dare hope that the English cars can stop the flow of championship points to Scandawegia? I want Graham to be our hero, I want him to lay the numbers down and fight those Vikings back onto their boats. Can we do it, please. The Main Event will see a home win in Pro Mod and there'll be a nice trophy sitting on top of a British car at the event end, I feel it in my blood. I'll lay money on it. There will be a British win at the Main Event, I guarantee it. Get down to the bookies people.

We shall certainly be trying, we're testing beforehand to try and exorcise the Easter demons. Baby steps though, the most important thing is making the top 16 and then anything can happen from there. If the car stops being such an unruly abhorrent child for once and does as we ask then we know it's potential. All will become clear come June!

as a footnote, I'd just like to say that regardless of any perceived financial or experience based advantage that our scandanavian friends may have, nothing comes easy in pro modified and they've put in the work and earned their success.

Its not just PM though is it, check out the FIA Eurofinals entries for the "pro" groups, of 59 entrants just TWELVE were UK teams, with PM having 7 of them, the remaining 5 included Andy Carter (retired) Derek Flynn (retired), I darent look at the Tierp event entry list....

It's mainly down to the fact that the UK racers are on the bones of their arse, so "luxuries" like Tierp are a bridge too far unfortunately.

shakey may not happen, mostly because they cant run 1 pro mod, (I am concidering entering super comp so i can run off a 4/10ths pro tree but dont want to fk up their series or race) The big bang is not possible for family reasons, there are no other dates available befour the main event with a suitabe track for testing, the pro test day is the day befour the event starts so any problems identified then its too late to get new parts ect,
we still have an unidentified problem with the car and the boost management that we have not been able to prove we have found the cause of,(and im sceptical that we indeed have)
so its a prety frustrating time for us
almost two months of nothing....
I applaud you for your enthusiasm but i woudnt bet against the scandinavian dominance continuing for a while yet

They have malmo to test on almost any time they want and a lot of the top teams do,
a track that makes shakey look like tierp by comparison, its short, very narrow, if your chutes are not out early you go into the sand trap and if you get over the ARMACO barrier you and your car are going for a swim,
but iv said befour...they are vikings

I've never been there but the strip looks and sounds like a great place to go. You really get a feel for the closeness in these two excelent videos of Pro Mods and some other fantastic Swedish machinary testing at Malmo here and here. Nice, some amazing cars that we neve get to see over here, well worth the watch.

I've just measured the shut down areas at Shakey, Meca and Santa Pod for comparison..
Shakey is approx 0.5 miles
Meca is approx 0.25 miles
Santa pod is approx .49 before you go ploughing..

Id have thought Shakey might let you run as an exhibition, given that they rarely get to see a Pro Mod.

England stand a chance of winning at any of those sports, we're ranked world No.1 in cricket, we dominate hugely in F1, when the rugby and football teams run out, at least we know we're not going to embarrass ourselves, (tennis doesn't count as it's for girls). We're a pretty switched on nation when it comes to racing in many forms of motorsport but we can't beat the Swedes in drag racing. They deserve to get there hats handed to them once in a while, you superbird boys can do it at the Pod. And then you can go over there and hand them their hats in their own back yard.

FIX THAT BIRD GRAHAM! Then fix them Swedes.
