Great to see some foreign competitors on the list in the Sportsman categories.

Looking forward to seeing Frank Eijskoots Pontiac Fiero for one.

I might be being a tad "controversial" here, and guess I'll be shot down in flames shoot, but I really do fail to see the benefit of a V1 of the entry list being posted almost 6 weeks before the event......

Wouldn't it be better to wait until there are more entries and something to encourage people to buy tickets?

Of course, a practically empty entry list does provide the 'whingers' with something to cry about! wink

It is a post modern observation on the hysteria surrounding the release of entry lists. I am sorry that you find the thread pathetic and childish. Log in with your real name in the thread at the top and I will consider your opinions further.

Nice one - typed in someone else's style of capital letters and no punctuation. If people complaining about the thread took interest in your other posts they would realise that you were "taking the piss".

Agree with some of these sentiments but it is also a reminder to racers that they need to get their entries in and if they have posted them and do not appear on the list they can take any necessary actions. With race meetings at the start of the season coming thick and fast it would be quite easy to miss sending in an entry form so "reminders" may be seen as helpful by racers.

There is also the point that some people are interested and would like to see it.

There is also the point that some people are not interested in it and don't have to click on the link to look at it.

I have to say I've been watching the nhra on tv for the first time this year since 1000ft began, and I'm actually really enjoying it, I don't really notice any difference between it and the full 1/4

However that's probably because there isn't much of a difference in speed at the top end, maybe it will just take us a couple of years in Europe to get used to the shorter distance until that magical 300mph consistently happens at 1000ft...
