Well we had our first proper chance to run at the weekend & bearing in mind there was no big stuff flying down the track ie/ Top Fuel, TMD, Pro Mod etc & take recent weather into account the track was fine.

We managed a 6.6 with the jap hairdryer in the RH lane, yes the bump at the 1/8th gives you a bit of tyre shake but nothing to have to lift off on.
LH lane was a bit loose around the 1/8th but again take recent weather into account i think the pod staff did a great job.

So in perspective - perfectly useable, yes we all know it could be better (& hopefully remedial work will make it better) & unfair for anyone to say its unsafe

I think I noticed a long patch of new asphalt in the left lane just around 1/2 track. Can anyone confirm this? Maybe this is why it's getting loose in that lane?

I think I noticed a long patch of this thread that went missing too!

Oh well if you can't have a laugh then what can you do these days!

Censorship of trivialities is truely the act of a deeply insecure and controling mind, I won't be coming here much anymore.

Not putting your real name in your profile isn't far off it either...
Bear in mind that everything you post is done hiding behind a keyboard.

If you truly believe that your comments tonight were funny and trivial then I suggest this is not the forum for either of you. I for one found them particularly distasteful and I am not alone in that view, far from it.

Well it was meant as light hearted, if you don't read it as such maybe I should have rephrased it or people should learn to lighten up a bit

Anyway I'm not getting in an argument with you, I respect you as a person so I give you the higher ground on this one and I apologise

Really wasn't appropriate or humourous, it was just a nameless slanging match. Being entitled to an opinion doesn't mean you can namelessly slag people off and insult them.

Anyway, back to topic. Top work as usual John!

In the interest of clarity, because the posts referred to are no longer available for anyone to see and judge for themselves, what was written was NOT a slanging match and NO individuals were defamed or ridiculed, any allusion that this was the case is completely unfair. If you think that the suggestion by one user that the racers who were saying the right hand lane was too dangerous for them should maybe wear some form of incontinence device under their fire suit was not funny, you don’t know funny when you see it. And if you find this kind of thing distasteful, for gods sake, don’t ever turn your TV on.

The development of the theme by me with the suggestion that the right hand lane might benefit from sponsorship by tenna lady was also, in case you are unaware, funny. Don't blame otheres when the deficiencies lay squarely at your own humorless door. The criticisms levelled at us are made even more dubious when seen it the light of other accusations, that the refusnik drivers lack the required gumption to race in the right hand lane, by those drivers that do have the “balls” required.

Now please, let us not continue this petty bickering.

I found the deleted comments funny, risque - but funny. I'm not surprised to see them gone though. Some may have been offended, some may have taken it in their stride, some may have even found them funny (includes me) but a public forum isn't really the place for jibes, so fair play to the moderator on that one.

Thanks guys - the crew were just amazing smile

Talk about working together & working hard & fast - brilliant stuff

Swapping an engine over in a little over 2 hours & then running a 6.6 first run straight after under pressure tells me i am a very lucky boy to have them smile
