WAAAAYYY beyond awesomesmile
Just to put it into perspective, US tfb teams and the quicker ones have probably 10times the budget of the svensson boys and yet with something they built at home and have perfected for years they run quicker.
Not just quicker but THE QUICKEST IN THE WORLD EVER!!!!!
It will be in the 5.60's if he ever runs it all the way through as he STILL clicked it slightly early on that one.

I always call him superman, well now superman has beaten spiderman (larry mcbride), lets see if spidey has any kryptonite! smile

As of this moment it's still the old 5.923. The 5.7092 is way faster the 1% rule allows for backups but anything faster than 5.923 will be the new ET record. It's when Peter gets to within 1% slower than the 5.709 that that number will be the new record. I.e. they need to run 5.7662 or faster to blow all officialy sanctioned records to smithereens.

We've been playing with the numbers and looking at the incrementals run earlier there is actually another hundreth or two in the bag if the weather and track cooperates.

In that it was of course not a full pull, the speed at 1000 feet was 384 km/hour (238.65 mph) and at the finish line a soft and slow 355 km/hour (220.89 mph).

The video...

Here it is: The Definitive and Conclusive High Definition Video of Peter Svenssons fantastic run of 5.709 seconds at Tierp Arena, Sweden, in Q2 on the afternoon of August 24, 2012.

A very high quality production with SmartTV as the producer, Jonas Alholt on the mobile camera and Anders "Bostic" Envall as the most excellent editor.

Enjoy.
