I don't know any more than whats on Eurodragster but strikes me as a crying shame that the organizers are going to the effort of having a meeting, publicity, arranging it all and then having to cancel because people haven't paid entry fee's??

From what I've heard its a great track, great people and a good place to race.

It is a great place Adam, the track, crew and everything was fantastic when we were there. Lets hope they sort this out for next year as I am really looking forward to going back again.

Drachten is organised by the racers themselves and the basic costs to run the event are €35000,-. Therefore you'll need 140 participants to break even (140 x 250= 35000)
For this last event 145 racers had entered, but only 90 had payed their fee of 250,-. The 55 non-payers proberly all had their reasons, but the main reason is "if it rains, we don't show up and keep the money in the pocket"
Thats why the event was called off, because before even started there was allready a 13750,- debt
With 4 of the last 5 events rained out, there are absolutly no reserves anymore
