Discussion
I've had enough of doing half hearted things to the car in the name of keeping it street legal. I don't have enough money to do it at Street Eliminator level, and anything else is just forcing compromises that I'd rather not make. Besides, it now has (hopefully) enough power and torque that I'm more likely to start breaking things when driving it with WOT, so driving it to and from the track as I was previously doing was getting that bit more risky anyway. It's currently at WRE having the rear end done. I couldn't afford the full 4-link, but a ladder bar, 9" spool and slicks are just about within budget. Of course, that probably means I'll break the gearbox the first time I get it out on track, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Other than that, I've got a taste for speed now so I'm fishing around for options to step up to the pro classes. I just need to find a wealthy backer :-)

Graham will the new sfi turbo specs have any affect over here ? Is it just for pro mod cars or all turbo cars
1.5 Compliance with this specification is entirely voluntary. However, when a manufacturer provides Turbochargers in compliance with all requirements of the SFI Specification 61.1 and enters into the licensing agreement with the SFI Foundation, Inc., they may certify that compliance with such standards is in accordance with the guidelines established herein.Id take that to mean that manufacturers dont have to comply but if they do they are entitled to claim an sfi spec product,
unless you heard elsewhere that the nhra have mandated an sfi spec turbo
i havent seen any new rules yet ??
