Now thats some stoute increments for a doorslammer .... im guessing thats there version of pro mod but am willing to be corrected ...and if so what are the main differences pls

It's pretty much rwyb and hope you brung enough! light as you can get and anything goes engine wise. It makes for exciting passes. 60ft's are .87 to .89.

Not Pro Mod as such, more an evolution of the breed, similar to ADRL Pro Extreme. The cars are super lightweight compared to traditional "legal" Pro Mods and basically run alcohol funny car motors with highly overdriven screw blowers. Most run with 2 speed Lencos behind torque converters although there are other trans combinations in use. Geared purely for 1/8th mile competition, they'd go pop over the full distance. Nevertheless though, 3.51 from a fully suspended doorslammer is insane, that's alcohol dragster territory.

With so little drama, too. With something making that sort of power, you rarely see a run that stays that straight on launch.

Frank Manzo, Rickie Smith and a couple big players in doorslammer tuning, the finest Neal Chance converters available and a bottomless pit of money. Massive achievements but its true what they say, speed costs money.

The 1/8th mile racing in the States will be mental this season, Frankie Taylor is hot on Alex Hossler's toes. 3.4s won't be far off.
