Seems daft to me although maybe it was to help out the nitro teams while they were getting to grips with the new tech

Real shame to loose them, n if its true others are cheating I've never seen the point, because they will never win the championship for real...it won't be down to driver talent, or having a great crew, it's down to how devious you can be. A real shame but not unexpected

with this news, Krister Johansson selling up, Dave Wilson selling/renting his ride away, the islanders team doing other things and Peter schoffer doing a limited schedule, it isn't looking too promising for TMD this year

I remember the 2010 season when Timo's car was running fast consistantly, and very rarely losing a pass.

ME 5.43, 5.46, 5.32, 5.33, 5.37
Finland 5.38, 5.39, 5.37, 6.06 (Burst Panel), 5.53
Mantorp 5.57, 5.44, 8.80 (Smoke Tyres)
Hockenheim 5.41, 5.39, 5.44, 5.44
EF 8.96 (Burst Panel), 5.54, 5.35, 5.37

The numbers that car was running during 2010 combined with the rapid reaction times would still be enough to be very competitive against the A/Fuel cars and Blown cars out there today.

After the 2010 season the traction control stuff surfaced, the problem the last two seasons has been that the car has just not been as consistant as it was during 2010 rather than raw pace against the other cars.

Probably because it's what's right for Europe. We should be encouraging more of this sort of behaviour, not just blindly following whatever the NHRA do. For me, I'm not sure where the claim that blown cars are at a disadvantage against the A-fuel cars can come from, whether because of the nitro percentage or some other reason. His claim that the A-fuel cars have a lower ET just doesn't stack up if you look at the qualifying times from last year.
