Spoke to Sky yesterday to find ESPN are dropping there channels with Sky. This mean's no more NHRA dragracing on Sky.

The guy I spoke with said they are trying to sort a deal, but it look's like ESPN will be dissapearing in month's.

Gutted.

That explains the letter I got from Sky yesterday - I was going to phone them today to find out what they were going on about frown

Having said that, we do watch most of our drag racing via the internet so it's not that bad, we just won't be watching the big boys and girls play.

Morning allsmile
Easiest way to watch EVERY NHRA race...
http://www.youtube.com/user/KMan2100?feature=watch
Kman's youtube channel.
Qualifying and eliminations always posted about1-2 days after the event.
All in HD.
Best way to watch the coverage as you can skip to what you want, plus, the bonus for me is I download the lot at home and then watch it all on my tablet as and when i can smile
No need for subscriptions or dishes, simples smile

I read that BT had bought the ESPN main channel + ESPN America [and maybe Classic as well but that wasn't mentioned] and their Sports channels will be available on the SKY platform. If they continue with ESPN America [in some form] maybe we'll keep it as it had basketball, baseball etc which all have punters out there. Here's hoping!

ESPN is a free add-on on BT's Vision box now along with British Eurosports 1 and 2. I believe that BT are picking up MotoGP as well next year from the BBC.

Makes sense, if BT are to become a force in TV they need a decent sports set up, they bid for some premier league games last time. If you remember SKY was a loss making disaster until firstly to got the premier league live games and secondly it merged with it's rival. Not sure what platform BT will use though of course they have a national network via the landlines though mine is so slow TV would never work on it !

My request for information may actually allude to the fact I enjoy NASCAR and would like to continue watching it, if I didn't want to bother, I wouldn't be watching it now would I smile

If you look in the SKY epg under the sports tab, there are now two BT Sports Channels coming soon. This maybe our only way to view ESPN legally.

Looking good for NASCAR and basketball but no specific mention of drag racing... I assume that when they say "ESPN America" they mean the US channel as ESPN UK don't show live NASCAR do they?

This from BT Sport:

"Additionally, the deal will allow BT to continue to show a host of US sports currently shown on ESPN America, including NCAA College Basketball, NCAA College Football and NASCAR."
