Am I missing something here?

The Paul Walker tribute day at Santa Pod in January. Tickets appear to be made of unobtainium and are selling for over a hundred pounds each on Ebay.
Why?
I am very sad for the family and fans of Mr Walker (Though I must admit his work has entirely passed me by), and I am also sad for the family of the seemingly forgotten gentleman who also lost his life in the incident. I am guessing that the remaining cast members of the franchise will not be schlepping over to sit in the rain and snow in Bedfordshire, so what is happening at the event to inspire demand for tickets in excess of that for Bug-Jam, and prices for a day event that appears at face value to have the potential to be a cold and wet RWYB.
If I am missing something, please explain. Otherwise, is this event being seriously over-sold somewhere? If so, this could be a PR disaster for the track and, by association, the sport.

Just read about this, very peculiar.
As I see it, SPR is (was) selling tickets for 4 Pound, the enormous price on auction sites is called for
by individuals who want to make big profit. Why do so many people want to buy them ?
Maybe to "be a part of it", the "it" being a mix of mass-mourning, tuned car meet and 1/4mile action.
It is to be seen if the prices asked for now are staying that high or will drop
if the -presumably- young target audience will/can not pay up.

The idea for a tribute meet was arranged by a modified car club near me in Royston a few weeks ago. Unfortunately they had no idea how it would snowball into the monster it has today. They created a Facebook event and thousands wanted to attend. They approached Santa Pod after their event went thermonuclear and realised that Royston might not welcome such attendance.
People selling on tickets for massive profit is just disgusting, and the people profiteering through tshirts etc after his death.
It does seem a little odd how it's so massive, I've watched the fast & furious franchise for a bit if mild entertainment but some people are seemingly obsessed, these films fuel a massive chunk of the modified car scene.

I couldn't get a ticket myself but have got pics of people arriving. There was a 4 mile queue to get in at 8am!
