Upatdawn, i'm not entirely sure what EXIF is, sorry.

EXIF is a file format for photographs that allows additional information to be stored with the image to. Things like camera make and model, aperture, focal length, exposure time, whether the flash was used, whitebalance settings etc. Nearly all cameras will write that information by default.
