A new rule seems to have appeared in the 2016 sporting regulations and it sounds a bit vague.

"On the Wednesday before the event takes place, a traction assessment test will be supervised by the FIA Race Director. Once this test having passed the minimum requirements, the track is called “ready to race”."

1 - What happens if the track is "NOT ready to race"? it could be raining all day Wednesday.
2 - What are the minimum requirements?
3 - If the track is NOT ready for whatever reason, does everybody get a phone call to tell them not to bother turning up?

All thoughts I'd had. Not least because by Wednesday, many teams will already be on their way to the track. I'm not sure what the best solution is. But the new changes have to be better that the previous situation where we raced on tracks that were really not up to the job.

Best to get a flexi fare on your ferry. At least you can get the next ferry straight back home.
