Ended up wandering down the fire up road and taking a couple of shots of most of the pro mods as they were coming round during Saturday qualification at the Main Event. Been meaning to share these pics from a less often seen view for a couple of weeks. Better late than never I suppose!

Bert Englefield

Marko Lantto

Marc Meihuizen

Roger Johansson

Mats Eriksson

Andy Robinsson

Seppo Saapola

Michael Gullquist

Urban Johansson

Im just off the bog..........

Damn I love pro mod.

Far as Im concerned, Id rather watch a 22 car field of these than a four car oil down.

Gonna miss Gordon A. tho.

It isn't the first time he has quit. Plus there will be more racers coming out and joining in, Pro Mod is currently the best it has ever been in Europe.

Great pictures - Must admit they are my favourite too closely followed by Street Elimantor then the Fuel cars, (am I on my own here?)
Shame the S.E guys/gals do not have rounds at the Main event etc - I am sure thats what the paying public want to see instead of some of the slower classes that are present?

Another quick point, taking pics down the fire up line is one of the few chances to actually see the cars properly at standstill wiith the advent of pro type pits everywhere. All you can normally see is the back or front of the car if you are lucky.

Dayum, that makes me realise how long it is since I've been to Santa Pod, apart from the Speed freaks Ball two years ago.

Last time i was at the Pod Gordon Appleton was in Super Gas and Andy Robinson had a Rover or Sierra.

Ther was also a bonkers Ford Scorpio run by Alan Packman that was pretty much unbeatable.

Pro Mods were pretty wild and out of shape then. I'm guessing they run a bit truer now?

It didn´t roll because it has a well balanced exhaust system...
Just kidding, the zoomie style headers have saved a lot of blown promod cars when they having a wild ride.

Tis true, Luckily they have smiley faces welded on the headers where they were repaired when Mr Spuffard glanced the wall with them before we bought them off him...
