I know we are really spoilt with Eurodragsters coverage of the FIA events, and I am also aware that Rico has a somewhat 'protectionist' media policy. However, a poor quality scan of a final qualifying lists, with no Fuel, Methanol or Top Fuel Bike really doesn't cut it in the digital age. I am sure Benni will read this, and please dont take this personaly. However, this years online coverage of the Nitrolympics really, really sucks. Were it not for Tog having spies on the ground, we would know nothing.

Thinks we all ought to buy Tog a pint each when we see him in the tent at the Pod!
You're very kind but it's not just me...there's Simon and Roger and depending upon the event assistants such as Miss Corrado. And of course the timing crew who give us all the numbers. And the Race Officials for inviting us in. And the track management for letting us do it at all.
Might get expensive

Hi Jon & result-junkies !
Nothing personal here,
I thought in the sportsman classes there were results of every round ,
wasn´t it like that in previous years ?
Final rounds only is really not so great.
The reason why there were no results of the "pro" classes have something to do with the
"Cannonball / Challenge" way the classes ran this year,
as the timimg system is treating these rounds like qualifying,
and does not automatically add up the round times to the final.
So the numbers have to be put in manually into an exel sheet.
But I agree with your disappointment, the coverage can (and should) be better,
the event itself was very good organized this year,
the track was excellent, and the races were close and exciting,
maybe the promoter wanted you all to come and see it live ?
Well, we´ll see what the future will bring to the NitrolympX,
I hope for a return of the FIA/UEM Championships,
but if my wishes come true, only time will tell.
Right now, I am still exhausted, but already looking forward to the finals,
how about a PH meeting in the pits or the tent ?
I´d prefer the pits because with all the
in the tent we would have to
Cheers,
Benni

Hi Herb & HockHeads !
The Hockenheim Ring GmbH will take over the organisation of the NitrolympX,
as it has done so partly in the last years already.
This will not mean that everybody of the "old" orga crew will be replaced,
but "Chief of Orga" Rico is indeed retiring,
because his beloved son Victor is coming into school now,
and Rico wants to spend the school holidays with him instead of running the Hock Orga.
We will see more of the guys with "BMC" overalls around,
the "Badischer Motorsport Club" has lots of staff,
since they are also contributing good manpower to the circuit races.
AKAIK there will be also "the usual suspects" around in the Lineup/start/track crew,
they know their business and did a good job at the last weekend.
My hopes go for a return of the FIA/UEM Championship in the future,
as Hockenheim sees itself as "the motorsport capital of germany".
Well, we will see.......*keepfingerscrossed*....
Cheers,
Benni
