Wheather its a revamp of an existing race car or the start of a new project, that may or may not hit the track next year, let us all know what you are working on over the winter. How about some pictures while you are at it?

well im keeping the same car for the moment, just tidying up over the winter and probably adding an air shifter and maybe a nitrous kit. also rebuilding the engine, it just needs a freshen up. although i was looking at the mini pro funnycar from gbc racing in the states, just out of interest...they look pretty funky but im not sure if the chassis is legal int he uk so ill do a bit more investigating

Currently....ziss:

...which will be finished in March / April, ready for some shakedown runs once I'm back from sunny Florida smile

The current state of play is as follows:

Pistons, rods and associated bits are currently in California, an xmas prezzie for myself.
The body is progressing, the headers (which are actually a fairly critical part of the aesthetic exercise) should be done by the start of next month. The fuel system is being upgraded shortly, with big stuff.

The sole sponsor is my wallet, so I'm reasonably chuffed to have got this far despite all manner of setbacks along the way smile

New piccies at the start of next month, in the meantime, full details available at www.basslinetopfuel.com

Were not doing a lot to the rail, new wider softer slicks, new belts for safety update, a weather station and a bit of a freshen up is about it, after the last 3 years expense with new engine, axle and gearbox we could do with a bit of a financial break!

Were not going to be completely lazy in the workshop though as were building my sister a new oval racer.

Getting my Volvo 142 ready.

Still at the restoration stage due to it spending 17 years in an open barn.

Made a rotisserie for it and got floors and sills on in preparation for being back halved and the fitment of cage etc.

Problem is, my funds are almost non-existent and it's bloody tight in my garage!

As a consequence, I'm aiming to have my first run down the strip by my 40th, in just under two years time.
This will also be my street car (I've no need for a daily driver) but should run 10's on it's 2.3l 16v four pot if similar spec Swedish cars are anything to go by.

Venom is going into hibernation and a new one is on its way over for christmas. She has an alluminium Mark Williams axle with all new wheels, fire system, brakes and body. Teng tools are back on board for 2008 as well as Superpower Unlimited will be sorting out our superchargers. Thats why Venom is up for sale from a chassis to a rolling car ready to race.

We will be quite busy this winter:

New block, new pistons, rods, crank, cam, heads, rockers, manifold, blower, fuel system... basically a new motor! smile

New wheelie bar, fuel tank (Hopefully) and the car is going to be repainted.

For myself we are looking to modify the chassis according to utilising a HANS device, might aswell start using one if they are mandated in 2009.

To be honest I'm not 100% of all the details, but I know harness position might have to be adjusted.

Will just have to be done regardless!

Hmm, I'm scraping together bits for my TR8. Need to renovate the bodywork but that won't take to long. It's already done for big rubber and converted for an ls7 and gearbox. I'd like to test fit an auto to see if I could use that instead. Thus far on the engine front I've got an ls7 dry sump arrangement as well as a selection of wet sumps. I've a Darton MID 427 block, a couple of ls7 very very pukka cranks, cast turbo headers and an alloy inlet assembly. Main bit's to get are pistons, rods, heads and tubbies. Rods will be my next purchase. I reckon I can get this over the winter but it will be touch and go.
