been discussing 1/4 mile times when the club i run goes to USC, the general banter. struggled last year due to the heat, and we all ran slow.
a mate said about useing CO2 fire extinguisher to spray the intercooler just before going down.

what you think, good idea? good idea for general rwyb? when shud i do it?

well, whether its healthy for your car or not im not sure but cost wise it could get expensive, depending on how many runs you do youll have to be refilling extinguishers all the time

Spray nos into the motor instead wink

On some RWYB's they dont like spray bars on the intercoolers as they can drip on the track

not really worked out cost yet.

is there any other devices used that anyone is aware of on a similar principle. gettin the temp lower to increase the performance for the strip

full nos system.
true would be sweet, but will have to way up with redard to engine coping with it, shud be fine at stage 1 tune, but when power is increased doubt would work, tho could be a good system to use now, plus the added power

or what about a alchol/water injection, would that do the trick>

I've done nos installs for a few Skyline, works very well.

whats your full spec??

boost controller, around 0.85 safe, or 0.9 be reet)
mapped

got to buy couple bits yet but thats stage 1. still got to work out what map tho at min. thats spec soon tho. shud be around 300bhp. similar tourqe
eventually when money alloys uprated injectors headgasket and turbo. just shy of 400bhp on stage 2 as all internals will take

If you have stock ecu then 50hp of nos should be a doddle if aftermarket then you should map the car but again 50hp should be fine.

I ran 75hp progressive on a similar spec RB25 and it went very well , i now run 45hp on the strip and 25hp on the road
