I see Freddys bringing it back to Pro-Mod with suitable aero tricks. Hope it does not alter the brick-like profile too much.
But still fantastic news !!

Scary picture!!!
Relax, from what I can tell he will keep the trucks shape like it are but wants more downforce to keep the tyres stucked to the track at high speeds.

Great picture, this should be sent to Tog !
I hope the truck will be black again.
When Freddy appeared @ Pod the first time
(running SP/ET and dialing in at 6.35 (?),running 6.5s,
I bought a poster, had it signed too,
and a "boost pressure safety plate" (wd?) which was, of course, blown apart.....biggrin
All 4 aluminium pieces had popped backwards so brutally
that each allen head of the bolts holding it was visible....yikes
On closer inspection at home, I found a felt pen scribble on it, reading "6.0 E.T."
So this was the aim (or dream) even then, years ago,
lets see what he and his team can do in 2008 !
Cheers,
Benni

He's mentioned several times that he's making more than enough power, but that the aerodynamics are preventing him from putting it down on the track. I'm wondering if he'll end up with something like Guv's shovel nose to try and help out on that front. Either way, it's good to see him back in the truck...

it was black last time he was out, in the same "ratty" look as the funny car

first time he came over (1999 maybe?)
dialled in 6.66 and ran 6.57, the 1/8th mile burnouts made me an instant fan
the year later he came over with patrik wikstrom, patrik ran 6.35 and freddy was in the 6.5s again

got part of his door hanging on my wall at home biggrin

He reckoned his rear wheel speed through the traps on a 210 mph pass was close to 250 mph, such was the drag on the body.

Delighted though I am to see Cirkus Fagerstrom back in P/M, I wonder if he can lop the 2/10ths of his et's he will need to be competitive? As a racer as well as a showman, could it be difficult to step back from the quickest TMFC in Europe to perhaps aquarter or semi-final performance? Bearing in mind the big hitters in P/M will be in the 6-zero's this year.

I wonder how TMFC fields will look this year now? Certainly reduced, and a lot less colourful!

But is the motor from the TMFC going in the pickup? If so he'll definately need more downforce - I am expecting to see aero work on the decklid rather than any shovels on the front.

Well, its Eurodragster.com's tenth birthday next Tuesday (26th), maybe an idea for a thread is your favourite story we have run over those ten years. If anyone likes the idea then start the thread biggrin

And now back to the topic at hand. Go Freddy!

Go Freddy, yeah !
Even the personnel on the bridge @ Santa Pod seem to like him,
but is it just me or is the music currently selected slightly wrong ?
You know, they play the "Laurel & Hardy" theme now
when the crew drives the trike thing to pick Freddy up
in the runout area (after whistling it first in 07 ).
Would this classic not be better suited to the "Cirus Fagerstrom" theme ?
http://musikdownloads.aol.de/imcdms/mediaplayer/so...
(sorry for kinda bombastic orchestra sound,
I wanted a more "small family circus" version but could not find it)

Cheers,
Benni
