Camping field conditions ??

Anybody been up today or up there working this weekend (Thunderball) with any idea of what the condition of the field is like underfoot ?? Thats the main field, not the family one.

Much appreciated as it will guide us on what to/or not to take this weekend.

I suspect it is a bit boggy right now but will resemble a quagmire by the end of monday !!

As long as there is nitro in the air ill be happy

Was hoping to make the trip yesterday, and then today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, tho I guess it'll be touch and go if it's warm enough to race?

im getin really worried about the camp sites, with all this rubbish weather the fields havent had chance to recover from last year yet and theyre gettin ven more muddy...apart from sowing some more grass im not sure what u can do about it tho

They could put drainage across the fields, doesn't really cost a great deal, but they will have to do it during the off season as it will tear the ground up.

The drainage across the camping field was all redone about fifteen years ago. I remember it being a foot deep in standing water at some events prior to that work, and that was the area now used for the monster trucks as well.

The conditions last weekend were exceptional, and anyone who camped last weekend in normal summer type tents etc really needed their bumps feeling, to be honest.

Well im in the army and I would have been laughed at and told to "man up" had I not camped outside !! Was cold though, but dont tell anyone !!

and why does it always seem colder sleeping inside a van?


cant sleep in a car, im over 6 feet tall, unless its a stretch limo
