Arvil porter R.I.P
Discussion
well, i assume its the same guy?
In 1976 Arvil and a friend, Tommy "TC" Lemons, (long time crew chief for "Big Daddy" Don Garlits), were hired to go to Sweden and build a Funny Car in less than two weeks!
The two did just exactly that and still had time to have their picture taken in front of the oldest telephone in Sweden (lower left corner).
The Funny Car was built for "Hoszey Frome", a direct descendent of the Norwegian Vikings. The car had to be special made because he was almost 7 feet tall!
