Good service that, thanks, even though the 4 SSB from germany did not make the field.
Alex Rose is running his ex-SSB now with slick & bar in Comp Bike, is 3rd quali.
Guess I have to get up early tomorrow......ears

Thanks Barry. Judging by the lack of comment from the resident experts here I got away with a couple of impressive howlers, either that or no-one was listening biggrin

That's right, don't pass it on but draw attention to it anyway biggrin

As it happens the comment about the unpopularity of a certain piece of confectionery, if that is what you are referring to, was (unusually for me) made in all innocence because as everyone knows it's a standard joke about that particular range. About two nanoseconds later I realised that there was another way it could be taken, about two nanoseconds after that I realised how brilliantly funny it was if you were one of the seven people who would get it, and about two nanoseconds after that I thought to myself "How long before that gets repeated?". One has learned to one's cost that there are a few backstabbing and stirring rapscallions around so it won't have been very long.

Well, we credit our sources at Eurodragster.com you know biggrin

Alas I have not heard a single word about the Nitrolympx despite asking repeatedly (in fact so much that they're getting pissed off with my asking I think) so you may be in the room on your own for that one Benni ranting

Are you kidding me ?? If I had a tenth of the backstage trivial/factual/anecdotal knowledge you have, my commentary would be a hundred times better !!

One of the few downsides to racing is that you don't get to hear the commentary when it's about your own car. Apparently mention was made of the colour of my car (the One True Colour, naturally -- Henry Ford would be proud). But I didn't get to hear it. Ho hum. Maybe I should fit a stereo and tune in to Nitro FM on the run, as some others have supposedly been doing...

I was highly amused when I read that announcements of reaction times were suspended because Sportsman ET racers had their car stereos tuned to Nitro FM.

They used to be shown on the gantry until someone pointed out that an advantage could be gained. It was in the first year that Nitro FM was broadcasting that someone mentioned that the Sportsman ET racers were listening in on their car radios and since then reaction (anticipation?) times have not been announced.

If you think about it that is a compliment to the capabilities of the SPET racers.
