4 Lane drag strip??
Discussion
With regards the 4-lane thing, I cant help but wonder, why?
Looking at the pics it appears to be 2 conventional tracks laid next to each other with a concrete guard rail separating them. Presumably then if one track gets oiled they just swap to the other one whilst repairs and clean-ups are effected. So they have to keep four lanes fully prepped over the course of a weekend. Assuming all four lanes are in service, how do they decide which lane will be in use? or can the crews pick any one of four? They will also have issues making sure that each lane is used equally in qualifying to ensure even and fair build up of rubber over the event.
The photogs will hate it, the spectators will find it frustrating when a particular race is 'over the other side' and it will be a pain to manage...
I am sure it is going to be a very bazzy facility, but I can see it becoming a bit of a white elephant in the future.

I suspect one pair of two lanes will be used for National & Divisional events and one for RWYB type affairs. I made a point on a US site that their will be calls of "foul" if one pair use one lane and another use the other as preparation would have to be the same in all four lanes, otherwise it will not work. Of course they may be preparing one set of lanes like they do at York with a rippled surface for street tyres...
