With all the bickering of late, it seems everyone has overlooked the traditional bump spot competition. So without further ado, my guesses are:

TF: 4.73s
TMD: 5.79s
TMFC: 6.11s
PM: 6.42s
PS: 6.91s

TFB: 4.87s
STB: 4.73s
PSB: 7.66s

For classes without a bump spot, I've gone for what I think the slowest qualifying time will be.

Nice one, Tet. TF will be tricky to call, but here are my guesses...
TF: 4.53s There are at least 10 cars more than capable of running 4's in the quarter, never mind 990 feet.
TMD: 5.69s if Dennis Harberman stays in Comp Eliminator, 5.99 if he enters TMD as at Alastaro
TMFC: 6.00s, tantalising, be nice to see Danny repeat his recent fives though
PM: 6.39s I cant see any weaknesses in that field at all
PS: 6.85s Again, 12 car field, all capable of sixes

TFB: 4.69s Stella field in TFB.
STB: 4.83s Ditto, stunning field there.
PSB: 7.96s If, and its a big if, there is a weak class at Mantorp, its PSB. None of the top five from last year entered so far? whats occuring there then?

Looking forward to seeing pics of the great sportsman racers there as well. Good luck everyone, and to everyone who is going, have a great weekend.

We are thank you, although strictly it's not the weekend yet biggrin I have been in this country so long now that I am not sure that I remember where I live.

Already had appreciative E-Mails re the coverage from some of you guys, thank you. Also Tet kindly saved us some embarrassment by very quickly spotting a flaw in the Press Day gallery. Best complaint so far was from the guy who asked why we weren't covering Comp: when I told him that we were covering every class including Comp Eliminator he replied that he thought that Comp Eliminator and Comp were different classes.

Nineteen-hour day yet here we are again only a few hours later. Keep late this week free in case you need to wear black armbands biggrin

<------- pooped! Tonight I would like to be at home for some strange reason. I have however had a great time at the side of the track taking photos this weekend. Only today did the sun really feel very awkward to be in and i had to say no more.

No, you get today off since we are travelling but I want you back on station tomorrow.

I don't know how the outdoor members of Eurodragster.com (nor indeed racers in firesuits) coped in those temperatures at the weekend but Kirstie, Simon, Ed and Markus all deserve a big pat on the back for sticking it out. Race Control was an interesting cross between sauna-smelling-of-men at one end and a refrigerator at the other. I of course was in the sauna part.

Hi Tog ,
the fridges wait for you in Hockenheim (hope we need them),
both the big one known as "motormouth garage" and the small one inside,
wich holds the beverages of your choice just above freezing point...drink
Cheers, and thanks to the ED crew for the great report from Mantorp,
