What an epic race that was!

Many congrats to all the winners, I am not sure, but was that Micke Kagereds first ever TF FIA win? Well deserved, and sets up a grandstand finish for September.

Usual thanks and appreciation to Eurodragster. God knows what my mobile bill will be this month, but well worth every penny!

PS, another classic Tramm pose on the webcam, if you are quick!

Echo that, and fantastic result for Rolf Amman first time back out and in the finals.

Amazed how quickly Grumpy seems to have got to grips with the new set up.

How close was Alky dragster qualifying ?

"Superstreet" bikes knocking on the 200 mph door, Im sure Ven's going to do it any day now....

Roll on Sept......

No Jon, it wasn't. He won Top Fuel at Mantorp in 2004.

I seem to remember sending you regular text updates from that very event, I'm surprised you'd forgotten it!! Some memory you have! Shan't bother next time...! HA!

Course he did, beat Joran in the final and ran 3 straight fours to take the win. How could I forget...

Either way, looooong overdue, and in with a shout for the title now.

He also won in Gardemoen that year, again beating Joran in the final.

Thanks Jon. It was very hard work, even more than usual, for various reasons but we got through all the worries (if you've heard about "Please do not turn on the webcam whilst there is rain on the window because it will stop people coming" then I can confirm that that story is true) and we got the job done. Kirstie worked her socks off again, I don't know where she gets her energy, and Markus fit into the set-up very quickly. I still keep hearing "Achtung fahrerlager" in my right ear every few minutes though smile

The webcam picture will stay that way for a day or two...or I might leave it there until the Open Sport Nationals biggrin

Edit: "worries"

Energy? What energy? Ahh that'll be the coffee. A very enjoyable weekend indeed with some great racing.

Who's the weirdo on the webcam - tell them they're spoiling the view.

Heh... Easily. At least you have the excuse that you only heard about it remotely. I'd forgotten, and I was there!

Indeed, you were! And busy bodies you were, too, as I recall - helping out with Smax all weekend and managing to fit a rush trip to Norway in the middle, some how... No wonder you and Robin look knackered here:-

I'm still not entirely sure what possessed me to agree to that. An 11 hour round trip from Mantorp to Oslo to pick up a spare wing from Rune's workshop. Arrived back at the hotel at 5am, grabbed a swift 40 winks, and back at the track for 7am. Who needs sleep when nitro's involved, eh? :-)
