Bloody typical! they were here on Friday to turn on the Illuminations and they'll be down there for the Finals. Did they offer me a lift?

No!

Not sure if I like the idea of that.

Good for the sport, exposure etc. but why top gear? The programme has taken a new direction since the new format etc, and I can't see it fitting in.

Bring by dickie davis and the ITV, and Big daddy?

Top Gear magazine will be at the Euro Finals, they will be joining us for a feature on Andy. I don't believe Clarkson, May or Hammond will be there but I could be wrong.

I was at York Raceway once and Clarkson turned up with a GMC Cyclone pickup which was a new thing at the time, claiming he was gonna beat all the 'home made' RWYBers. Obviously he got his arse kicked.

dan from top gear was more than genuine. despite the wet stuff, we fired the car up for him and stuck a mask on him so he could get up close and personal. he was impressed by that and was doing all he could to get great exposure in the mag with a decent feature.
not being put off by the rain, he made his own way up on sunday in the hope that he would get to see some racing. we stuck him in the tow car and he got to see a full on carter launch from very close quarters.
he's a good guy to have on side, was more than impressed and we're looking forward to his write up.
as said, he was genuine and a really nice guy!
