Every race car had a name?

Which takes you back the most?

GraveDigger
Go Go Gone
Hemi hunter
Methdrinker
Helzapoppin
Aaardvark
Devon Cream
Tender trap
Money Hungry (aint we all!)

never actually saw the "Heavies" run cos i seem to recall thier transmissions were sometimes legal, sometimes not (was it cost or political in Pro-Stock?)

Don't open that can of worms regarding the "Heavies" I remember riders and drivers meetings around that time getting VERY HEATED! best left alone as for early car names, well Pubcrawler and Whiskey Pedler always stick in my mind but that could be because of a theme developing and how about Rocky, Mr O'connor early ride towed to the races on a Ford Pilot!

We were talking about Vito, the US fighter pilot only the other night. Is anybody still in contact with him?

What takes me back ?
The "Maffia Mouse" of Willi Hestermann,
imported from Sweden in ´69 and raced for about 10 years,
454 BBC with Hilborn injectors, did an 8.6 in Silverstone (?).

http://www.autohaus-hestermann.de/index.php?site=d...

scroll down & click "weiter zu Seite 2,3,...." for more pix.

Willi did his last (show) run in the "Mouse" 2 Years ago in Hockenheim.

Regards,
Benni

P.S.: in recent years, I chuckeled at "Grounds for Divorce" ,
"Torque of the Devil" was also good.

Another really clever one was a doorslammer called Myonli Vice, the lettering was an exact copy of the Miami Vice logo......

I know you're deaf, but there's no need to shout.

I SAID: I KNOW YOU'RE DEAF, BUT THERE'S NO NEED TO...oh, never mind.
