From Eurodragster's news item on Kunmadaras today, it seems they'll be running FIA cars as well as FIM/UEM bikes from next year. I don't know how many teams will want the added expense of another round, but to me it makes a lot more sense than some of the other proposed new venues (Bahrain, Italy). It's pretty close for the central European teams, it's not too bad for the Scandinavians, and even from the UK it isn't too bad. Who knows, we might even see some of the Greek cars come up.

It seems like a good move all around to me (although personally, I'd love to see a return to Gardermoen, and not just because we ran our best numbers there, but I can't see that happening any time soon).

Good to see Hungary as a possible for next year but why isn't Gardermoen on the FIA tour anymore? Is it just that the facilities aren't to a certain standard?

A bit of a shame as it seems to be the only European track that's straight forward to get to and probably the only one I'd seriously consider as a spectator.

From what I understand, it's purely down to money. The event doesn't pull in enough spectators to fund the mandated FIA payout structure. Which is a shame, because despite the facilities at the track being primitive to say the least, I had a great time there, and would love to see it back on the calendar.
