So Jon, how did it go? I saw you did a 10 second pass with a low terminal speed, so you must have at least got part way down the track under power, hopefully without damage. When's the next outing?
Overall it was quite sucessful, but it wasn't flawless. To cut to the chase, the 60ft launch was signed off on Saturday. 1.13 to 60ft, and I'd left it in high gear (I forgot to take the button out), so it wasn't bad considering. It carried the front wheels to about 80 feet, I clicked it off at around 100ft out.The planned half pass on Sunday didn't count, as I clicked it off too early (330ft to be precise, my mistake, I thought I was further down the track than I was lol). 60ft was 1.18, 330ft was 3.07, again launched in high, so we're quite pleased with the incrementals given that it's all quite new, and I'm still learning things.
It's the first time the motor's been asked to do any work, other than the silly burnout at the Summer Nationals, so it'll need a teardown to check things, but overall I'm pleased, and the crew were superb as always. A big thanks also to Steve Goode for sorting out our air bottle issues, one day I'll fix the leak...
Bug Jam will be the next outing if I can get daily life stuff in order
