im looking for some info any news on a car i rember seeing in magazines about 10 years ago most of the people i speek to thing im talking s
t i want to know if it really exsisted and ran the times i thought it did.
the car was a yello spaced framed cosworth powerd focus.
it was 4wd i seem to remember the engine was i front of the front wheels meaning the fiber glased bonnet had to be streached it had wider front wheels on the front than on the back. i think it was running 8s (which is where the japs are now) was soon shiped to america and sold over there.
i am fairly sure this is not the RWD cosworth probe that also went to america.

I know the car you mean I think. It built in the States and FWD hence the big front wheels. It was in Custom Car a few years ago. I will try and find it...
Wayne Saunders car was imported to the States, painted in Valvoline colours and crashed and rebuilt I think.
Is this Waynes old car?:

Thats the car i was thinking of!Sadly I have to report that further to this thread:
Shaun Carlson, owner, builder, driver of the Focus in question and subsequently team Mopar driver in sport compact and pro stock, and owner of the second most famous mohican in drag racing died yesterday. Shaun had been in and out of hospital recently as he'd been diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome after having a couple of heart attacks and pretty big seizures earlier in the year. A great loss to both drag racing and the drifting community as he was also an owner/builder in that arena too.
