Drag Racing... Caribbean style ;-)

Hi Guys,
I thought you might like to see my videos of some great racing, questionable safety and amazing consumption of Rum (!) at Grenada in the West Indies:

(keep watching until the end to see an 8.4 second run in the dark... with no lights... and locals lining the track!)
Enjoy!

Insane. I can just about understand it in a road car with headlights (although even then, having raced in the dark at the Pod, it's still *very* dark, even with headlights on my car and floodlights on the track). But to do it in a dragster without any form of in-car lighting, and no external track lighting? They need their heads examined!Otter Smacker said:

Anyone got any info regarding that blue hatchback?
Sounds like a rotary on turbo two-step, maybe fuelled by methanol ?

These engines can catapult small cars into the 6s,
the Puerto Ricans seem to be very successful with this SetUp,
but some caribbeans give their CARtheBEANS, too, it seems....

Looks like it was a new PB or record from the reaction of the crowd,
my guess is that several bets were won(or lost).
