I work on the time warp funny car and am looking forward to having someone in the other lane to race against, any ideas on how the "new" cars are coming along?

Ha ha not overly soon no, there's still about £20,000 to go 'til she's finished. Once the season starts we both become pretty busy with Graham's Pro Mod so it's a case of when it's done it's done really. Hopefully not too far in to the future though. Tim is expecting to be out testing pretty early on in the season though.

I heard Tim sent his for paint recently, will be good to have another car out there, to start building the class, maybe some match races. I imagine with Grahams cars it won't leave much time spare!

Yeah it can get pretty busy once the season gets in to full swing, especially as we're both based around Nottingham and the workshop is in Essex, I'm sure we'll find plenty of weeknights free to get cracking though. Hopefully we'll get a lot done before Easter, we're aiming to have the body mounted properly before Christmas.

thats a fair bit of travelling, know all about that, when I help with Nobby's car I travelled from just outside the M25 to Daventry, fun times. Mounting a body is no fun task but getting it looking right makes it all worthwhile.

Yeah well as you can see from the last body pic on the UKDRN thread, we've got the ride height and stance all set and all the mounts are glassed in to the body ready, it's just a case of getting the tree work made up now.

Not sure what makes anyone think Tim's has gone for paint. It hasn't.

I am sure they will, but first they want to get familiar with the car and will run on alcohol
I believe the engine comes from the Texas Big Bird Pro Mod
