In the report on ED dated 28th january "Want to tow your race vehicle" it is stated that to keep your various D1/C1+E groups you will need to take a CPC, in fact it should say you need to take a DRIVER cpc, which is a totally different thing

All drivers who drive any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes COMMERCIALLY after
09/09/2014 must have a DQC (driver cpc card)

New LGV drivers - those without a C1, C or CE on their licence must pass
modules 2 & 4 of the INITIAL Driver cpc

Those new drivers must then get 35 hours of PERIODIC dcpc before 5 years
have passed to enable them to keep driving LGVs commercially

Those who had a C1, C or CE on their licence on 09/09/2009 have to get 35
hours of PERIODIC dcpc before 09/09/2014 so they can drive LGVS
commercially after that date for another 5 years and then another 35 hours
after that for the next 5 years and so on....

Private driving of LGVs does not require any dcpc which is why the licence
and the dcpc are seperate issues
