1st. When I had to pay for it.
2nd. When I saw what I could get when I sold it.

Sorry I will try it again

Hi I'm new here smile

Secondly

What is the most scariest moment you have had in a drag car? just this was a question asked on our own forum, so I thought I would ask it on a bigger one to see what other people had..

We had answers ranging from drive shafts breaking to tyres blowing up... so what was your experiences?

Fluid under the rear slicks made for an "interesting" run. Not exactly scary, but I was all over the track and heading for the centre line. Just as I was about to lift, it straightened itself up, so I stuck with it and went straight in as #1 qualifier with 9.906 in Super Gas :-)

three quarts of the way down the track at York and a bump dislodged the fire extinguisher bottle from its clamps which sprayed me with foam at about 130mph also it lodged under the frame and was lifting the front up a bit – managed to stop just but it was a bit scary for a few seconds cause as I lifted the visor to see it was still spraying so I got a face full as well. Needless to say the fire bottle is now in its own reinforced box within the frame.

Nothing particularly scary so far (touch wood) but in the junior dragster at North Weald hitting a pot hole at 70mph and the back end getting 2ft of air was interesting!

In the '34 when it had the injected motor, getting my boot caught on one of the first burnouts was a wake up but managed to get it unhooked easy enough.

Lost it on the burn out at the main event last year we think oil down from the last car down the track .Was only the headers that stop it going over on its side

that looks a bit scary, I bet the oil wasn't the only thing you could smell afterwards
